Synopsis

1.

Break and Enter – 08-41861 – Halton Regional Police are investigating a break-in at a church in Halton Hills.
Sometime between April 24th and 28th,
unknown suspect(s) entered St.
George’s Anglican Church located at 60 Guelph St. and
stole $2000 worth of property. Stolen items include three Real Canadian
SuperStore gift cards, one WalMart gift card, a JVC DVD
player and a Wii video game system. Five Wii video games and an undisclosed
amount of cash were also stolen. The stolen property belonged to “Links to
Care” which operates a youth drop in centre out of the church. There was no sign of forced entry.

Theft Under $5000 – 08-43016 – Halton Regional Police are investigating a theft
from a grocery store in Oakville.
Shortly after 7 p.m. on May 1st, an
unknown male entered the “Great Canadian Super Store” located at 201 Oak Park Drive
and stole two televisions from the electronics department. The suspect
selected the two units then brazenly proceeded out through the front doors
without making any attempt to pay. The suspect made his way to an awaiting
vehicle, placed the two TV’s inside then fled the area. The stolen TV’s are
described as a 19” RCA LCD/DVD
and a 26” Citizen LCD. Suspect is described as male white, between 18 to 25
years, clean shaven with a medium build.
He was wearing a black long sleeve shirt, jeans and a black baseball
hat. Suspect vehicle is described as a beige coloured passenger van bearing personalized
Ontario
licence plate “WETECH”. Further
investigation by Police determined that the plate(s) had been stolen off a
different vehicle in Burlington.
Total loss $850.

Break and Enter – 08-44275 – Halton Regional Police are investigating a break-in
at a commercial storage yard in Burlington.
Sometime over the May 4th
weekend, unknown suspect(s) entered the gated compound to Comstock Canada located
at 3455 Landmark Rd.
Inside the compound thieves entered numerous storage containers and stole
approximately $15,000 worth of welding equipment. The stolen equipment
includes four 5 wire welding remotes, seventy wire extension cables, ten
welding remote cables and ten roles of 12 gauge wire. There was no sign of
forced entry into the compound.

Break and Enter – 08-43172 – Halton Regional Police are investigating a
commercial break and enter in Milton.
Sometime overnight on May
2nd, unknown suspect(s) entered Connect Conveyor Belting located
at 405 Industrial Ave.
and stole $2200 worth of tools. Stolen items from the business include a
Makita cordless drill, Makita angle grinder, two round belt welding kits and a
10” Mastercraft sliding miter saw. A tool box containing wrenches, hammers,
screwdrivers, clamps and vice grips was also stolen. The stolen tools were
specialized and are made specifically for use in working with conveyor belts.
There was no sign of forced entry into the building.
