Synopsis

1.

Break and Enter – 08-24585 – Halton Regional Police are investigating two residential break and enters in Halton Hills.

 

Sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on March 13th, unknown suspect(s) forced open the rear door to a home on No. 5 Side Road. Suspect(s) ransacked the master bedroom and stole and unknown quantity of jewelry before fleeing the area on foot. A similar daylight break-in occurred the following day when suspect(s) attempted to break into a home on Eighth Line. Suspect’(s) attempts to force the door were unsuccessful and they fled the area empty handed. Damage to the door was minimal.

Robbery – 08-22762 - Halton Regional Police are investigating a violent robbery at an Oakville barber shop.

 

Shortly before 8 p.m. on March 7th, three men brandishing baseball bats entered Urban Barbers located at 125 North Service Road. One of the men approached the lone barber and demanded cash.  While attempting to flee the store, the victim was assaulted by the suspects who struck him with the bats. Fortunately, the victim received only minor injuries and was able to escape his attackers. The suspects then attempted to remove the cash register but were unsuccessful. They were last seen fleeing the area eastbound on the North Service Rd. The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model 4 door car, dark in color, possibly a Volkswagen Jetta. All three suspects are thought to be between 17 and 20 years of age and were wearing dark baggy clothing. Suspect one is described as male Philipino, five-seven, heavy build with short dark hair. The second suspect is described as male black, five-nine, average build, short dark hair and was wearing a ski mask. The third suspect is described as male Asian, five-nine, average build, shoulder length braided hair wearing a balaclava.

Break and Enter – 08-26048 – Halton Regional Police are investigating 2 possibly related break and enters in Burlington.

 

Sometime overnight on March 17th, unknown suspect(s) smashed the glass door to Millcroft Florist located at 2000 Appleby Line and stole the cash register containing an undisclosed amount of cash. Around the same time, a second break-in occurred at City Looks Salon located at 2435 Appleby Line. Nothing was stolen but suspects caused $450 worth of damage door when they smashed the front glass door with a rock.

Theft from Auto – 08-26160 – Halton Regional Police are investigating a theft from a vehicle in Campbellville.

 

At noon on March 17th, the owner of a business located at 35 Crawford Cres. placed his bank deposit bag on the front seat of his vehicle. He was about to leave the plaza when he noticed he had a flat tire. The man left the deposit bag in the vehicle and went back inside his business to call for roadside assistance. When he returned to his car he discovered the passenger window had been smashed and the bank deposit bag missing. It was later determined that the tire had been slashed. Total loss has not been disclosed.
