Synopsis

1.

Robbery – 09-73635-09-73788 – Halton Regional Police are investigating an attempted robbery in Acton.

 

Shortly after 11 p.m. on May 19th, an unknown male entered Action Discount Variety Store located at 225 Acton Blvd and confronted the lone employee.  The suspect gestured that he had a gun inside his coat and demanded cash. The employee refused to comply and the male suspect left the store empty handed. It is believed that a female accomplice attended the premise earlier to make a purchase and was waiting outside the store. Both suspects were last seen running south on John Street. Suspect #1 is described as a male, white, 175 cm tall. He had a bandana covering the bottom part of his face and was wearing a black shirt and pants. Suspect #2 is described as a female, white.

Break And Enter–09-71822- The Halton Regional Police Service are investigating a break and enter to a residence in Oakville.

 

Shortly after 2 p.m. on June 1st, a resident responded a loud knock to her front door of her home located at Kings College Drive and found no one was there. A few minutes later, the homeowner heard the back sliding doors open and went to investigate. The resident confronted the suspect before he quickly left the house. No one was injured in this incident. Suspect is described as a male, white, 6’, 19 years old, clean shaven, light coloured eyes and shaggy style light brown hair. He was wearing a grey long sleeve shirt, work gloves, straight leg medium colour blue jeans and white tennis style shoes. He was also carrying a large rust colour backpack.  Nothing was taken.

Break and Enter- 09-57353 - Halton Regional Police are investigating a break and enter to a storage container in Burlington.

On April 24th, an employee arrived for work at a construction site located at 5353 Cedar Springs Road to find the door lock on the storage container had been cut open.  Stolen items from the storage container include: Makita compressor, a generator, Dewalt saws and blades and a wide variety of Dewalt Power tools. Total loss is valued at $3,300.

Theft of a vehicle– 09-64017- Halton Regional Police are investigating a theft of car in Milton.

 

Shortly after 3:30 a.m. on May 6th, a Bennett Blvd. homeowner was awoken by the noise of a car alarm. Two suspicious males were observed entering a parked car on the road outside the residence. Halton Regional Police attended and observed a silver car leaving the area. Suspect’s observed Police and immediately accelerated away at a high rate of speed. After a short chase, the suspect’s vehicle drove into a ditch and suspects fled the area on foot. Suspect #1 is described as a male, black, wearing a dark coloured hooded sweatshirt with the hood up. Suspect #2 is described as a male, black, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, possible carrying a backpack.
