Synopsis

1.

Theft –10-97486- Halton Regional Police Service is investigating a theft of copper wire from a local business in Georgetown.

 

On July 1st, an employee arrived for work at Cooper Standard Automotive located on 346 Guelph Street and noticed the insulated cables were not attached to the cooling system. It was discovered that 20, fifty foot 4-0 Cam Lock cables (insulated copper connecting wires with “quick connect ends”) had been stolen. Each 50 foot cable weighs approximately 50 lbs.  Total loss is valued at $10,000.00.

 

On June 18, 2010, the same theft also occurred at the same location.

 

It is believed that several suspects would have to be involved in the thefts, and a large vehicle used to transport the stolen cable due to its size and weight.

 

The Halton Regional Police is seeking the public’s assistance in finding the person(s) responsible, or who may have observed anything suspicious. Please call Crime Stoppers at 1 800 222 8477(Tips).

Break and Enter, Theft -10-112085- Halton Regional Police is investigating a break and enter, and theft to a local business in Oakville.

 

Shortly after 5:30 a.m. on July 26th Halton Regional Police Service responded to a commercial burglar alarm at Atlantis HVAC Systems located at 1040 Speers Road. Investigation by the Police revealed the deadbolt lock has been removed from the front door. Once inside, suspect(s) removed three large air-conditioning units and a furnace.

It is believed that the suspect(s) dragged the items out of the front door of the premise; loaded them into a van or onto a flatbed truck and fled prior to police arrival.

Total loss is unknown at this time.    

3.

Break and Enter 10–110372- Halton Regional Police Service is investigating a break and enter to a local retail store in Burlington.

 

Shortly after 3 a.m. on July 23rd, Halton Regional Police Service responded to an alarm call at City Rags, located at 1200 Brant Street. At the time of the Police arrival, a gray Chrysler vehicle with its engine running was located immediately in front of the main entrance of the premise. Investigation determined the suspect(s) used the vehicle to drive through the front door. Once inside, the suspect(s) targeted specific high-end merchandise at various locations throughout the store.

 

On July 8th 2010, a similar theft occurred at the same location. In this incident, suspect(s) used a mini van to smash open the front door and security gates. Once inside, the thieves ransacked various areas of the store and targeted specific high-end merchandise including cologne, wallets, and belts.

Total loss and damage is unknown at this time

4.

Theft– 10-97187– The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating a theft to a retail store in Milton.

 

Shortly after 4:30 p.m. on June 30th, three female suspects entered “La Senza”, located at 1220 Steeles Ave. East. While one of the suspects diverted the clerk’s attention, the remaining suspects removed a large quantity of women’s under garments from the shelves. The three suspects left the store without attempting to pay for the items.  The suspects are described as: #1.)  Female, Asian, wearing a black zip up hoodie sweater and black track pants. #2.)  Female, Asian, wearing a black hoodie sweater and a blue Capri pants. #3.)  Female, Asian, wearing a white sweater and a dark pants. Total loss is unknown at this time.
