The Halton Regional Police Services is committed to community safety through crime prevention and education. To be productive the Halton Regional Police relies on inclusive partnerships within our community. To be effective, we rely on the support of and communication with our citizens.

We would like to take this opportunity to ask that you remain vigilant and report suspicious activity as it is occurring. It is imperative you be aware of strangers, unfamiliar vehicles and uncommon behaviours in your vicinity. In responding to concerns as they occur, we can effectively minimise opportunity for criminal activity to take place. Please note the following crime prevention tips:

·        Do not leave your vehicle unlocked or unattended with keys in the ignition.

·        Do not leave items of value in your vehicle when it is unattended, items such as wallets, handbags, laptops, GPS, IPods, DVD players and MP3 players should all be removed. If you must leave items in your vehicle place them in an area where they are not visible.

·        If you have a garage opener or house keys in your car remember this allows perpetrators access to your home (take them with you.) Keep interior garage doors and exterior residential doors locked at all times.

·        Secure garages, sheds, barns and outlying buildings, park your ATV’s, lawnmowers and trailers out of view from the roadway.

·        Note vehicle licence plates, descriptions of persons, their last known direction and CALL police. Do not attempt to confront these individuals.

If you feel you have information of importance and have not yet reported it please contact police. Should you require any further assistance or advice, please do not hesitate to call 905 878-5511
